Hugh Laurie signs record deal

Amazing news everyone! PA confirms Hugh just signed a record deal and is to release a blues album with major music group Warner this autumn. According to examiner.com Hugh has even written a number of the tracks himself: "I am drunk with excitement at this opportunity. I know the history of actors making music is a checkered one, but I promise no one will get hurt," Laurie said. The album will be produced by Joe Henry, a Grammy winner who has worked with Ani Di Franco, Elvis Costello, and Loudon Wainwright III. Laurie expressed his enthusiasm on working with the musician. "I am particularly thrilled to be working with Joe Henry, who has produced some of my favorite records of all time, and I can't wait to get started."

Tater Top Awards 2010 Winners + vacations

- E! Online's annual Tater Top Awards winners were just revealed. With more than half a million votes, both House MD and Hugh Laurie won all the categories they were nominated for! Hugh won in the category 'Drama King', the show won the category 'Best Drama' and House and Cuddy also picked up the award for 'Best Couple' & 'Best Kiss'!

House is 'best character of the decade'

Dr Gregory House has topped a list of the greatest television characters of the decade according to digitalspy.co.uk. The character beat Lost villain Benjamin Linus (Michael Emerson) in the TV Overmind poll. The Wire's Omar Little (Michael K. Williams) took third place in the list. Other characters to make the top ten included Arrested Development's Tobias F�nke (David Cross), Lost's John Locke (Terry O'Quinn) and Fringe scientist Walter Bishop (John Noble).
