Piers Morgan, from dailymail.com, made his own list of the 100 British celebrities who really matter and placed Hugh at #42, writting: "I saw my first episode of House on a recent holiday in Thailand. As it was the only DVD box set the hotel had, I finally succumbed to a show I assumed I'd hate - what's to like about a bumbling old mate of Stephen Fry's doing a fake American accent?How wrong was I? He's brilliant as House, the sharpest, darkest, most compelling dramatic character I've seen in years.

- Joining Hugh Laurie and Leighton Meester are names like Adam Brody, Alia Shawkat, Catherine Keener And Allison Janney;
- The script by Ian Helfer and Jay Reiss, which you may remember as the piece holding the #2 spot on the 2008 black list, has Laurie starring as man who gets romantic with the daughter of a family friend. That young lady was speculated to be played by either Leighton Meester or Mila Kunis, but according to the THR report, Meester has won out;
- The unconventional relationship causes family drama, particularly with Laurie’s character’s son (Brody), who falls for Meester as well. Keener will play Mrs. Laurie and Shawkat their second child who’s considering moving out of the family abode. Janney would play Meester’s mom.

Hugh to play on Meat Loaf album?

It's being reported that Hugh will appear on Meat Loaf's forthcoming album. The singer was keen to work with Hugh after starring in one of House's episode and asked Hugh to play piano on his upcoming album, "Hang Cool Teddy Bear," which is due for release in April.
